Radylites
Radylites are much akin to ferrets, and in fact look very much like human-sized, anthropomorphic ... well, ferrets. Their backs arch a little.
They have thin physiques with long thin arms and strong legs.
They have fur and a fluffy tail, which at times can hang carelessly on
the ground. They have a mane that can be any color of the rainbow.
They use their senses of hearing and smell to enhance their vision.
Most of their skeleton is made of cartilage except for really important things, like the skull, alllwing them to be highly flexible, acrobatic and fast.
They are able to contort their body so that they can basically move in
and out of anywhere as long as they can fit their heads through.
Radylites have a fast metabolism and need to eat full meals at least 6 times
a day.
Radylites live in a community system and each Radylite is expected to contribute to the best of their abilities in order to keep the community a thriving happy place. There is no word in their language for wealthy or poor. There are 200 words in their language for fun and happy. Radylites have a high education system. Every Radylite is schooled in every subject. When a Radylite goes to job school, each Radylite is trained in each position in society and expected to take on each position at least once, including leadership. School is taught everyday and the young Radylites are taught through playtime. Most Radylites do not stay in one job for a long time and alternate positions. However, if one enjoys a particular job, that Radylite will occupy the one job only leaving it when it is his or her turn to take on another position for a while.
Radylites are a supportive community. There are no poor or homeless people. There is no real money system. Things are bartered for or just borrowed and given back when done. Radylites have a good work ethic, but an even harder play ethic. Radylites believe that good work is rewarded through fun. They do not understand why money is considered a good reward for work. Radylites share everything equally. No one Radylite has more than another Radylite. It is unheard of that a Radylite would be unwilling to share. It is an embarrassment to a Radylite if they have more and cannot share with the community. Greed and the concept of MORE are unheard concepts in Radylite society. Radylites keep strict history records. They use these as their stories and lessons to promote the community attitude. Often their records do not contain names rather the names of the community. Radylites stress the importance of the community over the individual.
A different Radylite in their community takes the leadership position until they feel it is time to change. Some leaders stay in their position for years, while others stay for only a day. This way each Radylite can experience the responsibilities of leadership and can respect the decisions made by the current leader. This also works away discontent and keeps corruption from building. The leader is responsible for their community affairs as well as being a representative in negotiating with different communities and leaders. There are no real rules in their society. The only real law is that those that cannot contribute to keep the community fun will have to leave the community. Thievery is not a crime. Radylites believe that property is communal and belongs to everyone. Murder, rape and other crimes are almost unheard of. Those that commit atrocities against nature are quickly branded and banished from the community and most cannot survive, as no
other Radylite community will let them in.
