K'merians
As male and female K'merians begin life the two sexes are indistinguishable from each other. At the end of their lifespan they look like completely different species. When they reach sexual maturity, both the male and female undergo metamorphosis. This metamorphosis takes place in a cocoon and takes about 8 months to complete. After 20 years the male and the female undergo a final metamorphosis.
K'merians are a very productive and engineering race. They are constantly striving to develop new things and innovations. k'merians are often the first to think of new inventions and a lot of the prized quality tech is K'merian. K'merians are known to wear all sorts of cybernetics and are constantly changing their appearance and upgrading the equipment. During their cocooning stage, they have to take all cybernetics out as the cybernetics interfere with the process of metamorphosis.
K'merians believe that everything is forever changing and that change is a very holy process. They do not believe in tradition and are expected to have a different path from their ancestors. They settle in a different city and usually take different jobs. History and record collecting are considered to be futile attachments to the past and therefore there is no need to record history or make maps. There are no set holidays or celebrations. The K'merians often have festivals or parties when they feel like it and often there is no reason behind it except to have fun. K'merians are proud of their differences. Their personalty changes with each change. They have a strong intellect and are always striving to create change through inventions, food, governmental policies, art and everything else. K'merians are forever trying to create a better world for themselves.
